As you may know about it from the news an emergency phase has been announced yesterday afternoon by the Government of Hungary. Our university, among others, has been closed since this morning (march 12.) until the cancellation of this order.

In this situation the international week will be managed online, details will be announced just after Easter.

We'd like to suggest for you, additionally, to participate in our autumn international week personally, most probably in November.

About 12th International Week

Keleti Faculty of Business and Management at Óbuda University is organising its 12th International Week 20-24th April 2020, in the frame of the Erasmus+ and Creditmobility Programmes.

We would like to invite YOU to participate and share your knowledge and expertise with our students and colleagues. The 12th International Week is dedicated to the topic “New Challenges of the 21st Century”.

Hence, guest lecturers are requested to present a business or engineering-related topic (mechanical-, safety-engineering, mechatronics or electronics as well as computing) of their choice emphasizing the given field’s latest challenges. During the 12th International Week You will have possibilities:

  • to learn more about Keleti Faculty of Business and Management and other faculties of Óbuda University,
  • to network with other Hungarian and international guest lecturers from our partner universities,
  • to promote your university to our students,
  • last but not least to visit the best places in our beautiful city,
  • to take part in the independently organized FIKUSZ conference just after the International Week

The working language during the week will be English.

We can accept a maximum of two applications per partner institution. Applicants will be notified on a first come, first serve basis, so we would like to ask You to register as soon as possible.

Some important information

Welcome address: Budapest 17 Tavaszmező Street

Address of lectures: Budapest 17 Tavaszmező Street; 8 Népszínház Street

The international Mobility Department (MD) is located in 96/b Bécsi Street, the 1st floor, room 110.

For lecturers: A computer and a beamer will be provided. If you might need any additional equipment, please feel free to let us know.

Teaching hours: according to Erasmus+ and Creditmobility Programmes 8 hours are required.

Language: English

Requirements and evaluation of students’ performance: Since Óbuda University students are to attend the lectures of the 12th International Week as an intensive course, they are required to write a test on the topics our guest lecturers have addressed. Lecturers, therefore, are requested to create a test paper consisting of 10 multiple-choice questions with 4 possible answers based on their lectures and send them to the organisers.

Deadlines: The number of guest lecturers is limited – we cannot accept more than 25 lecturers. If you are interested, please apply not later than 15th March 2020. via email to András Keszthelyi at keszthelyi.andras@kgk.uni-obuda.hu

We accept the applications according to the registration rank. The responses will be sent by e-mail before 22nd March 2020.

Charges: There will be no participation fee. We expect the delegates to cover travel, accommodation and other expenses through/from the ERASMUS+ funds for staff mobility.

Administration:Colleagues from higher educational institutions with Erasmus+ or Creditmobility inter-institutional agreements with Óbuda University will be provided with/get an Erasmus+ certificate. Please, ask for the necessary papers for an Erasmus+ Teaching Staff Exchange from your international office. Colleagues from other institutions will be provided with a formal certificate of attendance.
